Making Waves Since 2024

The WAVE Foundation is a non-profit science and technology collective that aims to produce open source software, science and technology projects that benefit the common people, not the pocketbooks of the few. It must be remembered that the web was founded on the principles of freedom and openness, and we aim to keep it that way.
The purpose of this website is to provide a platform for engineers and creatives to progress technology and science in the name of humanity by providing a place to exchange ideas, collaborate on projects, and share knowledge.
Why now?
We live in a world where technology and data are concentrated in the hands of the few. In my mind, this is unacceptable. People say that the free market is the mother of all innovation, but a system that bullies the small players into submission is not a free market. This "free" market merely leaves big players free to destroy any and all competition.
This is why I founded the WAVE Foundation. I wanted to marry the principles of open source software with citizen science and community activism. Open source on its own is great, don't get me wrong, but it could be so much more.
Coming together
Imagine a world where we came together as a collective to create new art and technology. Imagine a community where you feel at home among peers. That is the WAVE Foundation. Usually, open source projects focus one thing. For example, NodeJS focuses on server-side JavaScript and does it really well. But you don't see the technology behind Node cross pollinating to other projects (at least not to its fullest).
Through the wave foundation, you can create the project of your infinite desires and build a team to do so. And like music collectives, creators are free to surf between projects as they please for this freedom breeds a harmonious cornucopia of scientific achievement.
You got analysis in my data! No, you got data in my analysis!
Imagine I design an app to analyse water purity. Someone else might design a low energy water filter. In the cutthroat world of modern-day economics, these two projects would divide and compete. At the WAVE Foundation, these projects would unite and complete.
